Is Your Brand Showing Up in AI-Powered Searches?
Or are your competitors getting all the attention?
Welcome back to The Electric Cat Echo. Today we’re diving into a spicy little topic that’s reshaping the way people find your company with AI searches.
TLDR (too long didn’t read): You need your company name and service to appear on as many reliable touch points as possible across the internet so AI searches can find you. The best way to do this is through a well planned and executed content strategy and lots of PR - something we love to help with!
Piqued your interest? Let’s dig into how your business is being found, or not, in 2025.
A large (and always growing) portion of the population are now using AI tools like ChatGPT as their main search method. PYMNTS.com reports that two-thirds of Gen Z and millennials use these tools for both work and personal tasks.
So if you’re not showing up in AI-generated responses, you’re often being completely missed out. And the time to act is now.
We in the B2B events and marketing space aren’t safe from the changes. No matter which industry you’re in, or what service you’re providing, your audience is asking ChatGPT, Perplexity, and even voice assistants things like:
“What’s a fun but sustainable entertainment experience for corporate activations?” “Which is the best events agency in the North with conference experience?” “Who are the top affordable staging providers for large-scale events in the South of England?”
And if your content isn’t answering these kinds of questions in a natural, human way, you’re slowly becoming invisible.
Let’s fix that.
🧠 1. Use the Same Language Your Customers Do
Classic SEO was all about keywords. Today, it’s about conversation. You need to answer real-life queries your audience would type into AI tools.
❌ “We offer mobile DJ vans for events.” ✅ “Looking for a one-stop DJ solution that’s fun, branded, and totally off-grid? We’ve got you.”
Try this:
Ask ChatGPT the kinds of questions your audience might ask.
Do you show up in the answer?
If not, change that (keep reading to learn now).
Repeat the same search every 2 weeks and keep track of the results. And understand that AI goalposts move fast. You might come up one week and not another for reasons often only known to the software developers.

📚 2. Teach the AI to Recommend You
Most generative AI tools learn from what’s publicly available online (also called Large Language Models).. That means your LinkedIn posts, blogs, podcasts, testimonials - everything down to Reddit comments - are feeding the machine.
So, feed it well!
Try posting content like:
Why quality catering boosts engagement at B2B events
How experienced producers can double your trade show ROI
The psychology of seating: Why better chairs means longer dwell time
The content should be clear, useful and with natural, topic-specific phrases. Avoid fluff and too much jargon, and ensure you include heads of value.
🔄 3. Cover Every Angle of What You Do
If you want to “own” a topic in AI search, you’ve got to show authority from every angle. Think of it in clusters, not one-off posts.
If your niche is sustainable event tech, don’t just drop a blog and think you’re done with it.
Try building a content series like:

A Beginner’s Guide to Off-Grid Power
Why Your Signage Strategy Might Be Killing Your Carbon Goals
Interlink them on your site. Cross-post them to socials. Get clients using those phrases in testimonials. Clarity + consistency = credibility.
🧭 4. Get Listed Where AI Shops
AI search tools often pull from structured, trusted sources, including:
Google Business
Trustpilot
Event supplier directories (e.g. Togather, Eventbrite, Add to Event)
Make sure your listings are: ✅ Up-to-date ✅ Consistent across platforms ✅ Include your conversational messaging (discussed in point 1)
Bonus: Add schema markup to your site. It’s a small dev job, but it helps AI understand your services, not just read them. Not sure what this means? Just ask us.
📡 5. Show Up Everywhere, With Value
It’s not possible to directly “SEO” for ChatGPT, but you definitely can get it to learn about you. Here’s how:
Appearing in guest articles, industry blogs, or event publications. Make sure your company name is clearly listed on it.
Joining podcasts and getting your company name and keywords in the episode description (get on MatchMaker.fm too!)
Sharing case studies with real data and useful hyperlinks. “Our services boosted customer satisfaction by 72%”.
Every mention in credible spaces means another way for AI to recognise you.
With all of this in mind, PR and a well planned content strategy is more important than ever. And guess what?
